DUO CONFLUENCE

About us
We are Michelangelo Ghedin and Teresa Gasparini
We started playing together during our studies at the B. Marcello Conservatoire of music in Venice, Italy and at the beginning of 2022 we officially founded Duo Confluence. Believing from the start that our unusual collaboration could work, we managed to convince the sceptical audience by creating a balance between the saxophone and the guitar, two instruments rarely seen together.
We are currently attending the Master of chamber music at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et Dance (CNSMD) of Lyon, France.

After some concerts in the Venetian territory, in May 2022 we won the first prize at the chamber music competition “Città di Belluno”. We performed in the summer concerts “Il Marcello Suona” in Venice and we had the pleasure of collaborating with the association “Musica Con le Ali” and “Teatro La Fenice”. In April 2023 we were awarded with the first prize in the International Competition “Giovani Musicisti - Città di Treviso” and the "contemporary prize" in the CIMCA of Arnuero, Spain.
